The loop 360 boat ramp is located below the southern end of pennybacker bridge over lake austin. this three-acre park is primarily used for lake access, but offers a grassy area for fishing and picnicking. a few bald cypress and sycamore trees grow along the water's edge.. There are 3 boat ramps available for public use. boaters are required to pay a fee for parking and ramp use. the boat ramps are approximately 12.75' wide and 35 feet long (wooden deck lengths). the wooden decks between each ramp are 2.5' wide. there are approximately 20-25 parking spots for vehicles with boat trailers attached.. 360 bridge the wooden planks of a boat ramp stretch into the calm water near the 360 bridge. this austin icon has been photographed many times, but when there is fog, you can always find a unique vantage point for black and white photography.. On a foggy november morning, the boat ramp and the 360 bridge along the colorado river are shrouded in fog. i originally had wanted to shoot a colorful sunrise, but with dense fog and calm waters, the opportunity for unique black and white images couldn’t be passed up.. Two excellent concrete public boat ramps are available: the walsh boat landing, located off lake austin blvd., and a ramp below the loop 360 bridge. additional ramps are located at emma long park and mary quinlan park..
