John custom designed a stitch & glue canoe for me several years ago. he paddled it, listened to my construction comments & designed the osprey ii. so i built it too. i built the first canoe on a strongback, using external frames. more on those later. it has has 5 panel shapes - bottom, chine, lower side, upper side, shear (2 of each)..
